Charity Event: Welly Wanging
The Duke of Wellington Annual Wellington Boot Throwing Championship is open to all, visitors or neighbours, on Portobello Road on Thursday the 18th of September, this year commemorating 194 years of Young's & 165 years of our own cracking pub and to support the Dogs for Good charity that trains assistance dogs for adults and children with physical and learning disabilities.
Festivities will start at 1pm and go on into the evening, compered throughout by the Duke himself who will crown the champion, winner of a hamper of goodies, raising aloft our Wellington Wanging trophy, but most importantly they will take home the honour of being the Notting Hill Wellington Throwing Champion of 2025!

The Red Roses play their last group game against the old rivals the Walaroos down in Brighton with both teams hoping to seal their passage to the knockout rounds.
